He is the best! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. He assesses your hair, shape of your face, and considers what you want before he does anything. He is very talented! I've been going to him for 20 years!

He is a wizard!! Any cool idea I come up with, he adds to & executes it to perfection. If you're a curly girl, LOOK NO FURTHER. David is a master with curly girls as well. A strong barber, educator & business owner. I've had cuts from the best of the best (Eric Fisher, Ira Sage) and David is a strong front runner. I finally found somebody that could cut men's hair right! David knows more about hair- and head shapes!- than anyone I’ve ever met.

I felt it was time to get serious about what I do to my hair and what I put in my hair. My cousin encouraged me to meet with David Gatt (owner and master at what he does).

I sat back and watched through my squinty eyes and a bit of anxiety. But, once it was done my curls jumped up almost instantly. They looked shiny and healthy. My mom always said, you get what you pay for.... as always, she was right!!!!

I've been to David Gatt three times now. I have very thick hair and most hairdressers either over layer it or don't take out enough weight. Both tactics result in matronly outdated look. But David knows exactly what to do with it to achieve the clean bob I wanted with no helmet head, belling out, or crazy layering.

Finding someone who knows and can cut curly hair has been a long process, so discovering David has been such a treat.

Even during that short conversation/consultation, I really felt he listened to what I had to say, had ideas for what to do with my hair in order to get it to where I would be happy with it, and would work with me so I could continue to be happy even between cuts after those ideas were implemented. Because of that conversation, I scheduled an appointment with him for my next cut.

The day of my appointment finally arrived, and after taking time to make sure he knew what sort of look I wanted, and discussing his plan to get me those results, David got started.

I was beyond thrilled with the results, and I don't think my hair has ever looked better than it has since I started seeing David. I've even had my hair highlighted, and colored there, and loved those results as well.

I was referred to him 5 years ago by a mutual client and have been so pleased. I have curly hair and whether I want to wear it down my back or try an edgy short style, David nails it. His competence is incomparable and his commitment to his education and that of others is admirable. I really cannot say enough.

I have curly, fine hair, and have been to many stylists who claim to know how to cut curly hair...and then give me a blunt cut that leaves me with triangle head. He worked with the curl and the growth pattern, and cut it dry. He knows what he is doing ladies. The cost is worth it in my opinion if you are like me and really need some expertise.

It is amazing, beautiful and more importantly edgy. He doesn't realize it, but very carefully and systematically cuts and flings hair all over the place as though he was the "Edward Scissorhands" of hair. Like I said, every time he's done, it's like a feeling exhilaration and anxiousness to take it out for a "cruise" when he's finished. Thanks a million Dave!
